This project was an exclusive way for IHG to thank 500 of its most loyal guests. I was tasked with creating an experience for these guests, through packaging. I wanted to make something memorable and unique that the guest would want as a keepsake, that didn’t feel like marketing material, and that would make them feel valued.
Each envelope was de-bossed with the words “Thank You” and the outer edges were lined with copper foil. The outer seal was a pure black sticker with the IHG logo on it. When opened, wrapped in vellum and sealed with a white version of the sticker, was a booklet sitting in an inbuilt tray. The inside of the envelope was copper foiled with the world map, as a nod to the worldwide reach of the hotels. Each booklet was personalized with the guests’ name, and a selection of tailor-made gift options.
